I designed a 404 Page for a fictitious company called "Moo Love." I made the page responsive, designing for both desktop and mobile devices.
I wanted to make my 404 page clever and silly. I was inspired by the phrase "Don't cry over spilled milk!" so I used that idea as a central theme of this page.
I researched popular snack companies such as Pringles, Pepsi, Lay's, and Wise to see if there would be any commonalities between their 404 pages. I noticed that each 404 page redirected the user back to the home page. I also observed their navigation bars and footers to see what each of these companies generally highlighted, and I learned that every single one of these companies highlighted "Products" as the first item in their navigation bar.
I tied all of this information together by searching for a free spilled milk image, which was honestly pretty difficult. Did you know that products photographers sometimes use paint or glue to pose as milk for their photos? If you didn't, now you know! Time to drink on up (the milk, not the glue).
